ORIGINAL VEHICLE FROM THE FILM
GENERAL LEE
Dukes of Hazard
General Lee? This nickname comes straight from the producers and its somewhat epic usage. "General Lee" refers to Civil War figure Robert Lee
The very characteristic sound of the General Lee's horn was not initially planned. The producers in Atlanta heard this horn on the street and caught up with the driver to buy his horn at full price. It was later that they realized they could buy it anywhere and didn't have to pay a small fortune for it.
The General Lee's doors were sealed because it was a car made for NASCAR racing.
John Schneider (Bo Duke) lied about his age to get the role. He said he was 24 when he was only 18 and came back dressed very simply, with a pack of beers, imitating a southern accent although he is originally from New York.
